Each student offered brief remarks on their experience in the district. Braxton said moving into the district as a freshman required adjustment but praised the connections and opportunities he found. Victor Delgado highlighted the district's programs, including biomed options and athletic participation, as formative to his high school career. Catarina Carvalho described participating in clubs and honor societies and said extracurricular leadership roles helped her take on more challenging coursework.
The board thanked the students and their families for attending; Superintendent and presenters framed the recognition as a reminder of the student outcomes the district aims to protect while it addresses a difficult fiscal environment.
