Hillsborough updates billing procedures and road projects; tax assessor honored

Township staff announced a change to inspection scheduling: phone requests will no longer be accepted and residents must use the STL portal, submit the inspection form, or email the designated address to schedule inspections. A staff member said, "everything must be made through the STL portal or be filling out the inspection form or emailing it to the designated email."
Staff listed roads completed this season (Falcon Road, Kilmer Drive, Matthew Road, Daniel Drive, Walnut Grove and Township Line) and said remaining scheduled roads will be completed within the next week. The committee approved repaving for Dukes Parkway West with an NJDOT grant beginning in October; Brown Avenue awaits a few remaining NJDOT inspections prior to opening. Staff also noted several county-managed construction projects and an ongoing micro-surfacing program affecting multiple roads; the Hillsborough mapping hub on the township website was recommended as the source for service-area, sewer and voting-district maps.
The meeting also recognized tax assessor Deb Blaney for receiving the A. E. Wyler award for education in recognition of contributions to assessor education and the 2025 NRAAO scholarship education award.
