During the consent portion of the committee, the council approved several routine items. Police Chief Justin Paul and Connor West presented a request to declare marked patrol vehicle Unit 2091 (2020 Tahoe, approximately 91,000 miles) surplus and authorize disposal by public auction; the council moved, seconded and approved the surplus declaration.
Earlier in the meeting the committee also agreed to place the four‑way stop pilot on the Monday council agenda (as a consent item) and approved offering to terminate the Visit Fergus Falls contract so staff can negotiate a new agreement. Those items will come before the full council at the next meeting for final action.
What’s next: surplus vehicle will be listed through the city’s usual public auction process (Midwest Auction out of New York Mills); staff will bring the four‑way stop pilot and Visit Fergus Falls contract drafts to the Monday council meeting.
