FSUS Charter Board approves multiple policies, tentatively OKs several others

The FSUS Charter Board of Directors approved a series of policy motions at its Nov. 18, 2025 meeting, moving to adopt and tentatively approve changes spanning board training, student safety and public records.
Board members unanimously approved Policy 2.11 (Orientation and Training of Board Members), Policy 2.50 (School Board Participation in Activities), Policy 3.14 (Suicide Prevention), Policy 5.14 (Homeless Education), Policy 5.62 (Administration of Medication) and Policy 8.64 (Bring Your Own Device). Each motion was moved, seconded and recorded as passing without objection.
The board gave tentative approval to Policy 2.18 (Respect and Civility in School or District Offices), Policy 5.321 (Bullying and Harassment), Policy 3.50 (Public Information and Inspection of Records) and Policy 3.51 (Copying of Public Records). Tentative approval indicates the board advanced the measures but did not record final adoption at this meeting.
During the same portion of the meeting, the board approved its Oct. 14, 2025 minutes and accepted a consent agenda that included the 2024 principal evaluations, an administrative salary increase request, an October 2025 Survey 2 FTE update, the FSUS‑DOH Special Needs Shelter Agreement, the FSUS‑FSU student internship agreement, the FSUS CAN program affiliation agreement and the quarterly procurement report.
All action items were recorded as passing “without objection” in the minutes; the meeting record does not list individual roll‑call vote tallies for these motions.
