East Allegheny SD celebrates robotics state title, counselor program recognition and student honors

Superintendent (S6) announced that the district’s robotics team won the state championship and qualified for the world competition in St. Louis, and asked members to congratulate the students. He also congratulated the boys varsity basketball team for making the playoffs and recognized fifth-grader Madeline King for placing in a girls’ wrestling competition. Two students — Jesse Kelly (computer networking) and Daniel Onder (veterinary sciences) — were inducted into the Forbes CTC Honor Society.
A school counselor (S7) told the board the district’s counseling program received its third ASCA Model Program recognition, a national designation indicating the program aligns with the American School Counselor Association’s comprehensive model. Superintendent (S6) praised counseling staff and described district efforts to expand field experiences and career-placement offerings.
The board acknowledged these recognitions and thanked staff for the work supporting students.
