East Allegheny SD says it will follow state process after receiving Duquesne consolidation feasibility study

Superintendent (S6) informed the board that the district received a feasibility study from the state related to a possible consolidation of the Duquesne City School District. He said the review had been initiated by members of the General Assembly and the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) and asked the community not to read other intentions into the receipt of the report.
"There is nothing to read into in regards to our doing relative to this survey and the subsequent steps that we will take," the superintendent said, adding the district will follow state rules and timelines and be a willing participant if further steps occur. He said board members and district staff had fielded calls and emails and that the district would share further developments publicly as they arise.
Next steps: the district will monitor state process and provide public updates if or when PDE or lawmakers request further action.
