The Gulf County School Board convened a special workshop Dec. 8, 2025, for a review of proposed bylaw updates, where NEOLA representative Scott Bass described the review and approval timeline for the changes.
Bass told the board the district would follow NEOLA’s standard process for drafting, public advertisement and final board approval of bylaw amendments; digital copies of the proposed updates had been emailed to board members two weeks before the workshop. Chairman Brooke Wooten called the session to order at 1:00 and, after the presentation and no questions from members, adjourned the workshop at 1:30.
The discussion focused on process and schedule rather than substance: board members had no substantive concerns or suggested edits on the draft language provided at the workshop. The board plans to carry the NEOLA-led timeline forward through public notice and formal consideration at a future meeting.
