BEARDSTOWN, Ill. — The Beardstown City Council on Tuesday approved a package of routine contracts and purchases, including a city-hall painting job, pipe repairs at the fire station, engineering services for lead service lines and the purchase of a new truck.
A motion by Alderperson Dawn Seward, seconded by an alderperson identified as Davis, approved a bid from Turner Painting and Construction for $11,925 to paint City Hall.
