Wilson Area School District board approves $14.935 million in DCED grant resolutions, awards facilities contracts

The approved scope includes two oversight visits per week for $935.00 per month, with billed hourly rates for a project manager ($100/hour), technician/operator ($90/hour) and administrative support ($50/hour); work on weekends, Sundays or holidays is billed at time-and-a-half.
In addition, the board approved a Norwood Construction Manager-as-Advisor contract (terms not specified in the minutes) and a licensed private-school placement agreement with Meridian Academy covering Jan. 20, 2026 to Jan. 20, 2027 at a rate of $226.00 per day per student.
The motions to approve the contracts and grant resolutions were carried by voice vote with all nine board members voting in favor. Several of the motions were moved and seconded in public minutes (for example, the routine minutes and financial approvals were moved by Janis Krieger and seconded by Linda Baskwell; the Portland Contractors contract motion was moved by Molly Sunderlin and seconded by Johnathan Jones).
