At its Feb. 9 meeting the Whitfield County Board of Commissioners received a first reading of proposed amendments to the Unified Zoning Ordinance.
Chairman Jevin Jensen summarized the proposed changes, which would add new definitions for 'Biohazard Waste,' 'Biological Waste' and 'Data Center'; revise Section 4‑6‑13 to add requirements for biological, biohazard and hazardous waste; create a new Section 5A‑6 establishing a Greenspace Courtyard Subdivision Option in the UPUD zoning district; and add Data Center to the permitted use table. The item was a first reading and no board action was taken.
