Student council outlines spring events and full March 3 blood drive

Student Representative Kaylea Detweiler provided the board with the Student Council’s spring calendar during the Feb. 24 meeting. Detweiler said sign-ups for the March 3 blood drive are full (32 of 32 slots), snack bags will be provided for donors, and pamphlets outlining requirements and expectations were printed and distributed.
Detweiler also summarized community-oriented activities: a charity basketball game whose canned-food donations were distributed to local families, a Hawk Hoedown planned for April 17, Teacher Appreciation events the week of May 4–8 with meals provided in the cafeteria, Hawk Olympics on May 5, and May Day on May 21. The Student Council’s report was included in the board packet.
