At the Jan. 20 Hermitage School District board meeting, directors approved Letters of Intent for two vendors selected under the district’s E-rate 470 Request for Proposal.
Mrs. Bethany Becker moved that the board approve Letters of Intent for the lowest-priced vendors meeting specifications; Mrs. Perman seconded. The vendors and quoted amounts listed in board materials were Howard Technology Solutions (Ellisville, Mississippi) for a firewall at $14,570 and CDW Government LLC (Vernon Hills, Illinois) for wireless access points at $146,675. The board noted final procurement is contingent on approval of next year’s fiscal budget and the award of associated E-rate funding.
The motion passed on a unanimous 9–0 roll call. Board materials state the district evaluated proposals using the scoring matrix from the E-rate 470 RFP; the Letters of Intent authorize moving forward to final procurement steps if funding and budget approvals are obtained.
