Brighton Area Schools board approves minutes 6-0; HR report lists vacancies, retirements

The Brighton Area Schools board voted unanimously, 6-0, to approve the minutes of the March 9, 2026 meeting after a motion by Dr. Krebs and support from Mr. Stahl.
Following the vote, Anastasoff presented the human resources report. "So it's that time of the year where we are putting together all of our vacancies and staffing, for next year," he said, and noted he revised the report format "to account for that and hopefully be a little bit more transparent." He told the board he had listed hires, layoffs, resignations and retirements and that "we do have a, a higher and a layoff up in the top category that do require board approval." Anastasoff also identified central office and administrative vacancies and an upcoming director vacancy.
The presentation recorded in the transcript did not show the board taking a vote on the HR items; Anastasoff said the report would continue to be updated and communicated to the board as transfers, resignations and retirements are finalized.
