The Slippery Rock Area School Board on Feb. 9 unanimously approved several professional development items and a student field trip, then adjourned the public meeting at 7:46 p.m.
On a motion by Mr. Mark Taylor, seconded by Mrs. Theresa Pearce and carried unanimously, the board approved the following: Elements of Budgeting & Planning (Regan Hess, virtual, $135), a PaTTAN internal coaches training for Shawn Zappia on Feb. 18, 2026 at Hermitage SD (mileage noted), and a high school Rotary representative field trip for Cory Hake to Carnegie Mellon University on Feb. 25, 2026 at no cost listed. The board recorded the approvals as part of the consent actions taken that evening.
Business Manager Regan Hess is listed for the virtual budgeting workshop; the meeting packet listed costs and dates as noted. The PaTTAN item identifies internal coaches training with mileage listed as the expense; no total cost was provided. The HS Rotary field trip listing names Cory Hake as the student representative and shows no cost in the packet.
After approving the items, Mr. Mark Taylor moved to adjourn the public meeting; Mrs. Leslie Colosimo seconded and the board adjourned at 7:46 p.m. No public comments were taken at the meeting.
