At its Feb. 9, 2026 meeting, the Slippery Rock Area School Board unanimously approved a bundle of personnel appointments to cover upcoming absences and extracurricular needs.
Mr. Carl Aglio, a board member, said the board had met in executive session from 7:00 to 7:40 p.m. to discuss personnel and legal matters before reconvening the public meeting. On a motion by Mr. Mark Taylor, seconded by Mrs. Theresa Pearce and carried unanimously, the board approved several hires outlined by the administration.
The board approved appointing Lynette Colvin as the long-term substitute for Anna Eckhardt beginning on or about March 11, 2026, through the end of the 2025–26 school year. The board also approved the hiring of professional substitutes Isaac Myers (Emergency Permit), Ulrich Staley (Emergency Permit), Elizabeth Lindey and Leah Exley (Act 86). In support staff actions, Rhoda Berry was approved as a food service substitute.
The board further approved two supplemental coaching hires: Dalton Foore and Tayler Eusebio were approved as assistant track and field coaches with OYOCS. The approvals were made by a single motion and recorded as unanimously carried.
The approvals take effect as noted in the board action; no additional funding allocations or contract details were announced during the meeting. The public portion of the meeting concluded later that evening and the board adjourned at 7:46 p.m.
