The Grove City Area School District board on Feb. 9 approved several items related to student activities, curriculum and facility services.
The board approved travel for one high-school student and one chaperone to attend the PMEA Regional Orchestral Festival at North Allegheny High School March 5–7, 2026, at a district cost of $950. The High School Program of Studies course catalog for grades 9–12 and an updated 2026–27 district calendar were both approved. The board also approved a William Penn Academy agreement. Finally, the board approved a Fitness Center Planned Maintenance & Service Agreement at a cost of $1,200.
All motions passed unanimously. Staff conference attendance approvals for Amber Fitch (NAMI youth mental-health conference, $165), Richard Tharpe (Safety Care re-certification, $100) and Megan Taggart (Multilingual Learners Symposium, $175) were also recorded.
