The City Council unanimously approved formation of City of Ontario Community Facilities District No. 52 (Sundance Park) and a package of resolutions authorizing the levy of a special tax, incurrence of bonded indebtedness, calling a special election and related financing actions.
City staff and the city clerk confirmed public notices and compliance with the Mello‑Roos Act and said there were no written protests and no registered voters in the CFD territory per the county register. The council moved through action items A–F in sequence: adopting the formation resolution, deeming it necessary to incur bonded indebtedness, calling the special election, declaring election results and directing recordation of a special tax lien, and authorizing execution of an amended and restated acquisition and funding agreement with Brook Cal Ontario LLC. Each action was taken in recorded votes; the record shows items passed by 5–0 electronic votes where recorded.
Council members completed ministerial steps necessary to implement the community facilities financing structure, and staff noted related report materials were made part of the record. The clerk announced the election results and recorded the actions as required under the Mello‑Roos statute.
Provenance: The CFD hearing and sequential votes are recorded beginning at the CFD public hearing announcement (SEG 1193) and the adoption of successive resolutions and final votes are recorded through SEG 1321.
