Board members on Jan. 26 approved a broad consent agenda of finance, facilities, curriculum and personnel items and separately tabled a playground surfacing proposal for Dutch Ridge Elementary.
Mrs. Thompson removed Item 7.1 (PlayGo Co. LLC — pour-in-place safety surfacing for two Dutch Ridge playgrounds) from the consent agenda earlier in the meeting. Later the board voted to table Proposal #251120 (dated Nov. 20, 2025), which had included roughly 5,500 square feet of two-layer pour-in-place rubber urethane safety surfacing at two playground sites. The proposal’s cost elements were PIP safety surface $93,500; removal and disposal $6,450; and freight $3,323, for a total project cost of $103,273. Director Steven Neeley moved to table the item; Director Denise Yates seconded the motion; the motion carried.
The remainder of the consent agenda (items 6.1 through 12.2) was approved by motion of Director Luke Berardelli and second by Aaron Bovalino. Notable approvals recorded in the minutes include receipt of the June 30, 2025 audit report and the Annual Financial Report for the year ending June 30, 2025; General Fund invoice payments of $2,890,435.74 (November 2025) and $2,922,958.82 (December 2025); Food Service Fund invoices ($93,472.36 Nov.; $80,398.73 Dec.); activities and athletics invoices; approval of Guy's Mechanical Systems quotes for a freezer/condenser ($16,750), walk-in cooler ($11,950) and rooftop unit ($15,400); Unified Door & Hardware quote for a locker room door ($7,890); and O.Z. Enterprises one-year building automation service agreement for $10,800.
The board also approved curriculum purchases, including the FOSS Pathways 3–6 Complete Program for $43,427.70 from School Specialty Curriculum. A small athletics-related additional ball mix expense of $833.00 for Hardy Field (to be split 50/50 with Brighton Township) was approved.
The minutes record the consent agenda motions and outcomes but contain limited verbatim discussion. The PlayGo proposal remains tabled; the minutes do not indicate when it will be reconsidered or whether design or funding revisions will be sought.
