The Tax/Finance committee of the Titusville Area School District on Jan. 12 recommended that the school board adopt the 2026–2027 budget for Venango Technology Center and approve a budget resolution under Act 1 of 2006. The committee also recommended a $50,000 donation from the district’s Health Council funds to support the Titusville Area Hospital Regional Dental Training Center, a project Superintendent Stephanie Keebler described as intended to provide convenient dental services to community members and district families and projected to be complete in July 2026.
Jack D. Roberts, chair of the Tax/Finance committee, presented the budget and accompanying recommendation materials. Keebler explained the dental training center project and its planned relocation and service model; the minutes record the donation amount and that the funding source would be Health Council monies.
Business Manager Shawn Sampson also briefed members on recent legislative changes, noting that Act 47 of 2025 included significant changes to cyber tuition funding; he encouraged board members to contact legislators to express appreciation for the reform. The minutes do not record any formal vote on the committee recommendations; they are recorded as recommendations to the board.
Next steps: the recommendations were recorded in the committee minutes and may be considered at the board’s regular meeting scheduled Jan. 20, 2026.
