Greeley transit staff unveils 110-page mobility manual as board raises e-bike, scooter safety questions

Board member Steve Teets raised concerns about e-bike and e-scooter safety on sidewalks, asking how age restrictions and enforcement would be handled and noting the difficulty of regulating privately owned devices versus shared mobility systems.
Michelle Johnson, a City employee, said the transit agency will roll out a 110-page Mobility Policies and Procedures Manual that focuses on safety, service and schedule improvements and includes updates to bus routes 1 and 5.
Board members also reported a Night of Remembrance for people experiencing homelessness that drew positive feedback; local florist Mariposas donated flowers and several speakers, including a pastor, participated. The committee plans to continue the memorial.
Separately, the board announced a local meeting on community benefits and grievance work at Farr Library later the same day.
