Greeley council authorizes two executive sessions on real property and West Greeley litigation

At the close of the meeting March 3, the Greeley City Council voted unanimously to enter two executive sessions. The first session was authorized to discuss potential purchase, acquisition or lease of real property and to receive instructions about negotiations (citing CRS 24‑6‑402 statutory exceptions and relevant municipal code provisions). The second session was authorized to receive legal advice and to instruct negotiators regarding the West Greeley project and an active lawsuit filed by Trollco, Inc.
Motions were made by Mayor Pro Tem McDonald and by Councilmember Olson, seconded and adopted by roll call votes of 7–0. Mayor Hall stated the council would enter executive session at 8:07 p.m., and that following those sessions the meeting would adjourn.
