City manager reports: tank schedule, airport consultant, dredging work and pool inspection

City manager Finley reported a Maguire tank repair schedule targeting March 4 return to service, selection of KSA Energy for the airport layout plan administered by TxDOT, drafting of a dredging maintenance agreement for Towne and Robinson Lakes, a pool inspection set for Feb. 12, and a one-third environmental clearance issue delaying part of downtown sidewalk work.
City manager Finley delivered a series of operational updates to the Llano City Council, covering water-tank repairs, airport planning, dredging agreements, downtown sidewalk environmental clearances, the pool inspection schedule and other administrative matters.
On the water tank, Finley referenced contractor Maguire's revised schedule: "Maguire's revised schedule which calls for the tank to be back in service on or about March 4," he said. On airport planning, Finley reported the city selected the highest-ranked firm, KSA Energy, and sent the scoring tally to TxDOT, which will contract and administer the airport layout plan; the city will provide scope input and stakeholder involvement. He said the airport layout plan is expected to take about 40 to 48 weeks.
Finley said staff circulated a draft maintenance agreement for Towne Lake and Robinson Lake to the contractor for review and comment and that permit work to renew an expired dredging permit remains in progress. He noted potential regulatory issues related to water use that must be resolved before dredging can proceed.
On downtown sidewalks, Finley said about one-third of the replacement project lacked environmental clearance; staff proposed obtaining full environmental clearance before advertising the project, likely advertising in June and allowing about 90 days for clearance. He also reported the pool engineer from Landmark Pools would inspect the pool on Feb. 12 and deliver a report in about three weeks.
Finley added that LADC had requested a future agenda item to consider making a final debt payment that could save roughly $7,000, and that staff continue to coordinate water contract and conservation discussions with LCRA.
Council did not take separate votes on these updates; the items were reported for council information and for staff follow-up as needed.
