James said the proposed contract ceiling is $143,000 with a $10,000 contingency the director may authorize for minor overages. The department also received a $200,000 public‑health infrastructure grant that can cover the contract and some staff training time.
James estimated GovPath would complete the work in roughly three to four months and noted the contract term was set through December to allow flexibility if needed. Commissioners asked whether the upgrade was an internally identified need; James replied it was identified by the department.
The item was presented as a motion‑agenda contract for the upcoming meeting and was not approved during the session.
