Lucas Fire Control Prevention and EMS District board adopts FY 2025–26 budget

The Lucas Fire Control Prevention and EMS District Board voted unanimously Aug. 25 to adopt its fiscal year 2025–26 budget under Resolution FDR-2025-0805572.

A staff presenter identified in the transcript as “Ms. Ecksel” summarized the proposal, saying the budget “is comprised of 677,137 for sales tax and then the associated service contract transfer with the city.” The chair said the budget covers the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2025 and ending Sept. 30, 2026.

The chair noted the board complied with Local Government Code section 344.204 and held a public hearing on Aug. 21, 2025 that gave interested taxpayers an opportunity to comment.
