At its Feb. 2 meeting the Village of East Dundee board took several formal actions summarized below.
Consent agenda (approved): Trustees approved meeting minutes and multiple warrants lists and several resolutions. The consent package included accepting warrants totaling $215,659.72 and $96,375.56 (fiscal year 2025) and $207,506.27 and $120,769.93 (fiscal year 2026); a resolution waiving competitive bidding and approving a residential solid-waste franchise agreement with Flood Brothers Disposal Company; reduction and replacement of performance bonds related to Terra Business Park Phase 2 (Hal Land 2 LLC and Pal Land 2 LLC); an Illinois Department of Transportation resolution to expend $54,750 in motor fuel tax funds in fiscal year 2026; and adoption of an electronic-attendance-at-meetings policy.
Floodplain ordinance (adopted): The board adopted an ordinance updating Title 7 (Chapter 152) to address FEMA compliance and to change how cumulative improvements and substantial-damage thresholds are calculated.
Pawn-shop zoning ordinance (postponed): Trustees postponed consideration of an ordinance defining pawn brokers/pawn shops and their permitted zoning to the Feb. 16 meeting to allow the village attorney to draft boundary/overlay language discussed by trustees.
