Burr Ridge staff: village hall redevelopment moving toward drawings, public info to be posted

Evan, a village staff member, said the Leggett architect design contract was approved Aug. 25 and staff has begun laser measuring the existing facility. Evan told trustees the project is likely about 30 days away from ‘‘any real discussion about how things physically fit together’’ and closer to 90 days before full drawings will be available for higher-level review.
Mayor Grasso and trustees emphasized public outreach. The mayor said the project likely will be funded in part by selling the existing building and asked Evan to remind residents to review materials and comment. Evan said the village will post a Village Hall redevelopment page on the municipal website with a timeline and past discussion materials so residents can follow progress.
No formal action was taken on redevelopment at the Sept. 22 meeting; staff said additional material discussions and pricing/letter-of-intent work could produce further developments after the meeting.
