The Village of Huntley Board and Liquor Commission on June 22 approved a slate of routine and project-specific actions, including multiple construction-period extensions for downtown redevelopment projects, authorization of a road-diet study focused on Sun City, and issuance of a Class A liquor license and a video-gaming location license to Papa Saverio’s Pizzeria.
The Board voted unanimously, 5-0-1, to extend the substantial-completion deadline for The Cornell redevelopment at 11117 S. Church Street to Sept. 30, 2023, and approved staggered extensions for the Coral Street Fire House project (apartments to Aug. 31, 2023; restaurant opening to Oct. 31, 2023). Village Manager David Johnson told the Board the developer for The Cornell affirmed the new target completion date.
