During its meeting, the East Dundee Village Board approved the consent agenda and took several formal procedural actions.
The consent agenda included approval of the regular meeting minutes dated Oct. 20, 2025; acceptance of the warrants list in the amount of $2,046,707.51; resolutions setting regular 2026 meeting dates and accepting planning technical assistance from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning; an ordinance authorizing tax levy abatements related to general obligation bonds; and authorization for the village administrator to execute a one‑year contract with Alliance Insurance Services Inc. for general liability and workers’ compensation coverage in the amount of $436,713.
On a separate motion, the board considered an ordinance to grant a Class A liquor license to Garitondo's Carol's Corner Inc., including an authorization related to a supplemental video gaming terminal lease. After discussion clarifying there was no change to floor‑space standards and that the original licensee would remain on the license, the board proceeded to roll call. Trustee Guma stated a recusal prior to the vote. The roll call recorded a majority of yes votes and the ordinance moved forward.
Finally, trustees voted to close the public meeting and adjourn into executive session under the Illinois Open Meetings Act for probable and imminent litigation (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11)); the board also approved a motion to adjourn from executive session without returning to public session.
