Commissioners approve proclamations, agreements and policies; DEP mosquito surveillance planned for May–October

Agreements and policies: The board approved a linkage agreement between Dickinson Center, Inc. and the Cameron County Recreation Center, a Use and Safety of County Vehicles Policy, and a Purchase of Service Agreement between Children & Youth Services and attorney Edwin W. Tompkins III to take effect July 1, 2026.
Purchases: Acting on a recommendation from Cliff Clark, ED Director, commissioners approved purchase of a storage shed for the Driftwood Senior Center from Jefferson Sheds (lowest quote) at $6,145.00.
Public health notice: Commissioners noted that the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection will conduct mosquito surveillance in Cameron County from May through October 2026, placing traps along major roadways and other locations; results will be shared later. The minutes recalled that last year’s surveillance detected West Nile virus in samples and said staff have been alerted.
Meeting close: With no further business, the board adjourned at 11:53 a.m.; the next regular meeting is scheduled for April 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
