Commissioner Elizabeth Yerxa was elected chair of the Colusa County Planning Commission at a Feb. 4 meeting, winning a 4–1 vote of the five‑member panel. Commissioner Gerry Nall was elected vice‑chair by a unanimous 5–0 vote.
The Clerk opened nominations for chair. Commissioner Dave McCullough nominated Elizabeth Yerxa; Commissioner Gerry Nall seconded the nomination. With no additional nominations, the commission voted to elect Yerxa as chair. The minutes record aye votes from Commissioners Yerxa, McCullough, Pendleton and Krug and a no vote from Commissioner Nall.
