Jessica Montgomery, the county’s Public Works Director, updated the Board on the roadside litter pickup program, saying the initiative—started several years ago—has been successful and is now scheduled for rebid.
Montgomery said the contract is a one‑year agreement paid per mile covering both shoulders of designated roadways and that the program coordinates with the Sheriff’s Office; she noted the current contractor, BCA, has provided efficient coverage without overlapping efforts. The Board unanimously authorized Montgomery to send out contracts for a one‑year roadside litter pickup program.
