Chartiers Valley board rejects waste-disposal bids, approves Timeclock Plus upgrade and construction payments

At the Jan. 14 meeting the Chartiers Valley Board rejected two bids received for district waste-disposal services, citing a minimal number of bids and an "extreme discrepancy," and voted to reopen the request for proposals for services beginning July 1, 2020. The motion to reject and reopen the RFP was moved by Eric Kraemer and seconded by Dr. Darren Mariano and passed by unanimous voice vote.
The board approved an upgrade to the Timeclock Plus software after a superintendent recommendation; the motion was moved by Robert Kearney and seconded by Eric Kraemer and passed by unanimous voice vote. Jason Day presented the monthly construction report as informational. The board approved Merit High School Change Order #13 (moved by Tony Mazzarini, seconded by Eric Kraemer) and approved the December 2019 pay applications for construction work (moved by Tony Mazzarini, seconded by Eric Kraemer); both motions passed by unanimous voice votes.
