Board tables transportation contract and planned bus purchase for solicitor review

Items 9.1 and 9.2 proposed awarding contracted transportation services to A.J. Myers and Sons, Inc. for three years beginning with the 2020–21 school year (contingent on acceptable documentation to the solicitor and superintendent), and purchasing four 72-passenger buses from Myers Equipment at a unit price not to exceed $95,941. Sandy Zeleznik moved to table the items and Tony Mazzarini seconded; the motion passed on a unanimous voice vote.
Board members did not take a final procurement action; tabling allows the district solicitor and administration to verify contract documentation and pricing before returning the items to the board for a future vote.
