After regular business, the Village of Hampshire board reconvened to administer oaths of office and make staff appointments.
President Michael J. Reed Jr. and several newly elected or reappointed trustees took the oath and signed official paperwork. The board then voted to reappoint Vacelli Law as village attorney/counsel, Douglas Panas as chief of police and Karen Suler as village clerk.
President Reed publicly thanked outgoing trustee Lionel Mott for four years of service and presented him with an award. The board agreed to postpone committee assignments until the next meeting to give trustees an opportunity to review roles and express preferences.
All appointments brought before the board were approved by recorded votes during the reconvened session.
