The Inyo County Board of Supervisors on March 3, 2026, recessed into closed session to discuss labor negotiations and to conduct public-employee performance evaluations of the county administrator and the county counsel, and said it would return no earlier than 10 a.m.
Chair Jared opened the meeting and asked County Counsel Vallejo to take the board into closed session. County Counsel Vallejo told the board: “The board will convene in closed session for items 2, 3, and 4 as more fully described on the agenda.”
Before adjourning to closed session, the clerk reminded members of the public-comment rules for the closed-session portion of the agenda, saying: “Comments will be accepted at this time related strictly to items on the closed session portion of the agenda. Comments will be limited to 3 minutes.” Chair Jared confirmed there were no public comments in the room and none online.
The session items listed by County Counsel Vallejo included a conference with labor negotiators and public-employee performance evaluations for the county administrator and the county counsel. The board recessed into closed session as requested and indicated it would return to open session no earlier than 10 a.m.
