Mr. Becker explained the amendment provides for village oversight and execution of a contract for campus enhancements at Wheeling Town Center and said the trustees had seen the item on the consent agenda earlier in the meeting. Trustee Lang asked whether the agreement covered signage across the street as well as campus signage; Becker replied the cross-street signage would be handled separately though designs will be cohesive.
The ordinance passed on a roll call vote with unanimous approval. The item remains subject to usual contract terms and procurement oversight; Becker said staff will ensure necessary approvals and processes are satisfied before expenditures occur.
