During an open session portion the board conducted an employee evaluation with Adam Sparks, the county Maintenance Director. Board comments said Sparks "communicates well both with his staff and other departments," is fiscally conservative and resourceful, and that he requested more guidance from the board when needed.
In the work session the board discussed OSHA-required training and fire and tornado drills; Dennis Simon will compile a list of required training and coordinate with the county Emergency Management Agency for drills and scheduling.
The meeting adjourned with minutes signed by Auditor Jenna Jennings and Chairman Thad Nearmyer. The board will hold the public hearing on the FY2026–27 budget on April 28, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors room.
