Robins Planning and Zoning Commission approves agenda and minutes, receives Open Meetings and zoning training

The Robins Planning and Zoning Commission met on Jan. 14, 2026, at Robins City Hall. Chairperson Tim O'Hara called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and roll call recorded the attendance of commissioners Todd Roberts, Jay Goodin, Matt Mitzel, Dennis Trachta and CJ McDonald; Planning and Zoning Administrator Vance McKinnon and City Clerk Lisa Goodin were also present. Commission member AJ Hester was absent.
The commission approved the meeting agenda on a motion from Todd Roberts, seconded by Dennis Trachta; the minutes record the roll call as unanimous (all aye). The commission then approved the Oct. 8, 2025 minutes on a motion by Matt Mitzel, seconded by Jay Goodin (unanimous), and approved the Dec. 10, 2025 minutes on a motion by CJ McDonald, seconded by Dennis Trachta (unanimous). The minutes do not list individual roll-call votes beyond recording that all votes were aye.
City Clerk Lisa Goodin provided the evening's training on Open Meetings/Open Records law and pertinent zoning laws. Following the training, Goodin moved to adjourn at 6:19 p.m.; Matt Mitzel seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes include signature lines for Timothy M. O'Hara and Vance McKinnon.
The minutes do not record public comment on agenda items or actions taken beyond the approvals and adjournment.
