At its regular meeting, the Mecklenburg County School Board approved routine business items and personnel recommendations in a series of recorded roll‑call votes.
The consent agenda was moved by Mr. Allgood and seconded by Ms. Coleman and carried with affirmative roll‑call responses from board members. The finance committee’s recommendation to pay bills and the personnel packages (personnel 1: employments/resignations/retirements/transfers/supplements; personnel 2: additional employment items; personnel 3: terminations) were each moved, seconded and approved on recorded votes.
The board also approved Option 2 for the 2027–2028 school calendar (moved by Mr. Allgood, seconded by Ms. Coleman) and accepted the finance committee’s recommendation that the board support a one‑time state‑provided $1,500 bonus for qualified employees. Roll calls on the votes recorded consistent affirmative responses (aye/yes) from members who were present.
Because the meeting minutes and roll‑call sequence were on the record, items approved at this meeting will appear in the official minutes and enable the administration to move forward with staffing and contract actions reflected in the consent and personnel lists.
