At its meeting, the Mecklenburg County Public Schools Board approved routine business items in a series of roll-call votes. The consent agenda, which included payment of the bills, passed on a recorded vote; the clerk called each member's name and recorded yes votes from Garner, Coleman, Rose, Cheney, Arnold, Allgood and Winter.
The board then approved two personnel packages. Personnel 1 (employments, resignations, retirements, transfers, supplements and adjustments) and Personnel 2 (appointments and related changes) were moved and seconded and carried by roll-call votes.
Separately, the board approved revisions to the 2026–27 school calendar after staff presented three options (a 178‑day option, a 176‑day option and a traditional 180‑day option). The calendar revision motion passed by roll call. The clerk recorded the same set of affirmative votes for the calendar motion.
The board also deemed certain listed items surplus and approved their disposition by roll-call vote.
All votes recorded in the transcript show affirmative votes from the named board members. No roll-call dissent or abstentions were recorded in the meeting transcript for these items.
