The Cobb County School District Board approved the administration’s Human Resources personnel report and affirmed three student-discipline appeal decisions during its March 19, 2026 voting session.
Chief Human Resources Officer Keeley Bowen presented the personnel report and recommended approval of the employment actions discussed in executive session. "The administration recommends the approval of the identified employment actions of those individuals listed in the personnel action report," Bowen said, and she noted one principal-level resignation: Jill Spiva, principal of Addison Elementary School, effective June 30, 2026.
Board member Wheeler moved to accept the personnel report; Miss Davis seconded the motion. The chair called the vote and announced, "Showing 7 in favor, none against," approving the personnel report as presented.
The board then addressed three student-discipline appeals. Mr. Cristadouro moved that the hearing decision and student-discipline appeal 10 be affirmed; after a second the board voted 7–0. A second motion affirmed appeal 11; the chair recorded a 7–0 vote. For appeal 12, the board again moved to affirm the hearing decision and the vote was announced as 7 in favor, none against.
The meeting recorded no public votes against or abstentions on these items and treated the disciplinary decisions as affirmations of earlier hearing outcomes. The board placed other work-session items on the consent agenda and, with no objections, approved those items before adjourning.
