Staff said the administrative authority is intended to expedite routine, low-impact requests that previously required a commission hearing so property owners facing closings can complete transactions more quickly. Commissioners asked that any future packet of revisions clearly highlight the specific changes under consideration; staff confirmed they will provide marked-up text showing additions and deletions to help the commission identify what they are voting on.
The amendment passed on a 7–0 vote and becomes part of the subdivision regulations subject to any procedural posting and adoption requirements.
