Procurement items included a two-year renewal of Bid No. FY 2023-07 for residential solid collection and disposal with Meridian Waste at the same terms, and authorization to advertise two new bids for Finished Traffic Signs (FY 2025-08) and Unfinished Traffic Signs and Posts (FY 2025-09) after Traffic Signs, Inc. opted not to renew, citing "rising costs beyond our control." The minutes record that Traffic Signs, Inc. chose not to renew due to "rising costs beyond our control."
Financial items approved as part of the consent agenda included multiple budget amendments presented by Deputy Administrator/CFO Kevin Dollar: a Gas Tax Fund personnel addition with associated FEMA grant revenue of $35,691 and related salary and benefit increases (e.g., $21,833 salary increase for the position); General Fund adjustments increasing jail food supplies by $17,500 and other equipment by $12,500; and Gasoline Tax Fund increases and a transfer out to cover building additions and renovations totaling $173,631 plus other equipment line items.
All consent items were adopted by a single motion; no separate discussion or recorded objections are in the minutes. The motions were recorded as passed on Feb. 17.
