Edgerton council approves consent items, grants and funding for Veteran’s Pavilion

The Edgerton Common Council approved multiple consent items at its Nov. 3 meeting, including bills and payroll totaling $240,104.90, several redevelopment grants and event permits, and a $121,000 commitment toward the Veteran’s Pavilion project.
Councilmembers voted 6-0 to approve the Finance Committee recommendation to pay $240,104.90 in bills and payroll. The council also approved event packets for the Edgerton Chamber of Commerce 2026 Costume Carnival (Oct. 17, 2026) and the Edgerton Home for the Holidays celebration (Nov. 29, 2025); the Home for the Holidays approval passed on a 5-0-1 roll call vote with Candy Davis recorded as abstaining.
Redevelopment Authority actions approved at the meeting included an interior grant of $2,840 for electrical upgrades at 11 Swift St, an exterior grant of $2,774 for façade work at 11 Swift St, and an exterior grant of $4,686.08 from TIF 10 for windows at 112 Swift St. The council granted an exception to park closing hours for the Disc Golf league on Nov. 12 and Dec. 3.
On project funding, the council approved a motion to commit $121,000 from the sale of the Veteran’s Memorial Building to the Veteran’s Pavilion project. Members also approved an addendum to the Cedar Corp contract for civil plans for the Veteran’s Pavilion in the amount of $16,000–$20,000 to be paid from ARPA interest; that motion passed unanimously.
The council authorized a Temporary Class B Beer/Wine license for the Tri County Community Center for Nov. 22, 2025. With no remaining business, the council adjourned after a final procedural motion.
