Edgerton council approves bills, sidewalk bid, event permits and personnel items

The City of Edgerton Common Council on Oct. 6 approved a package of committee recommendations and routine items, each by unanimous vote.
Finance Committee items included approval of bills and payroll in the amount of $315,146.09 (motion Tim Shaw/Michelle Crisanti) and awarding a sidewalk replacement bid to Alan Remodeling at $10.50 per square foot for 4-inch sections and $12.35 per square foot for 6-inch sections (motion Tim Shaw/Shawn Prebil). The council also approved event packets for the Edgerton Chamber of Commerce Costume Carnival (Oct. 25, 2025, 4 p.m.–8 p.m.), the FFA Alumni Pork Chop Dinner (Oct. 17, 2025) and the Edgerton History Walk (Oct. 25, 2025, 10 a.m.–3 p.m.).
Plan Commission work was ratified with approval of an extraterritorial land division on County Highway F (motion Jim Burdick/Shawn Prebil). Personnel Committee items approved by the council included an amendment to the Personnel Policy regarding donation of vacation time and the appointment of McKenzie Patterson as Aquatics Director (motion Candy Davis/Tim Shaw). Parks Committee approval included a reimbursement to Kevin Slagg in the amount of $672.57 for pier modifications.
All listed motions passed on roll call votes recorded as 6–0 in the minutes. The council completed these items without recorded public comment or extended debate in the minutes.
