Edgerton council approves roofing contracts, lead‑lateral policy and other measures

At its Sept. 15 meeting the Edgerton Common Council accepted low bids from Top Quality Exteriors to replace multiple city roofs (to be paid from insurance), approved a 50/50 private lead lateral replacement policy, adopted Resolution 13‑25 and approved the 2026 Rock County 911 Joint Powers Agreement.
Mayor Christopher Lund called the City of Edgerton Common Council to order on Sept. 15, and the council approved a series of contracts, policies and routine motions, according to the council minutes.
The council accepted the low bids from Top Quality Exteriors on two roof replacement requests to repair hail damage. Bid #1 (22 shingled roofs on various city buildings) received 15 bids and was awarded to Top Quality Exteriors for $138,500. Bid #2 (the library and 116 Swift St.) received 14 bids and was awarded to Top Quality Exteriors for $86,500. Council minutes state the roof replacements will be paid by insurance…
