The Stilwell City Council voted Dec. 2 to declare the Stilwell Armory property (an approximate 1.03-acre site at 421 West Pine Street with an existing brick building) surplus and to sell the site to the Stilwell School District.
Councilmember Jim Spray moved to approve the surplus and sale and Councilmember Debbie Johnson seconded; the roll-call vote recorded all councilmembers present voting "Yes." The council then approved Resolution 12-02-2024, a resolution of approval for sale of the property to the Stilwell School District, and subsequently authorized the mayor to sign all contractual agreements necessary to complete the sale.
The minutes record the property description and the council’s authorization but do not include the purchase price or closing timetable. The city clerk provided the official public record of the motion and votes. Any sale documents, purchase price and closing details should be available from the city clerk’s office or in the finalized contract referenced by the resolution.
The motion carried on roll-call votes recorded in the public minutes. The council moved to other agenda items after recording the action.
