Florence council approves Brightspeed fiber contract, tables policy and other operational matters

Council also approved several operational motions: installing a VFD Unit for Blower #3 at the wastewater plant not to exceed $7,000 (motion by Mary Condon, second Forrest Hyde); it tabled discussion regarding discontinuing camera systems that use wireless SIM cards (about $600 per month) to study the effect on the forfeiture account; and it voted to table an employee policy on Safeguarding Electronic Company Assets. Separately, the council denied an Incode software upgrade (motion by Forrest Hyde, second Mary Jane Swope).
