Coach Janine Martinez said the program grew over a decade and praised players’ resilience through a string of tight playoff games, including a triple‑overtime semifinal and an overtime title game. “It was truly a team effort,” Martinez said. “They fought, they supported one another, and they earned this.”
Board members praised the team’s on-ice performance and academic achievement. Mister Johnson congratulated the players and urged them to carry the lessons of teamwork forward: “You got the grit,” he said. Trustee Bradford presented the resolution and thanked coaches and parents for their support.
