City Attorney read ordinance language and staff explained the procedural reason for immediate consideration: adopting the map in order would maintain correct sequencing with three rezoning public hearings that followed. City attorney’s staff described the map adoption as administrative sequencing tied to three rezoning applications on the agenda.
After a unanimous roll-call vote to suspend the rules, the council adopted ordinance 262689 (revised zoning map). The council then opened the public hearings for three rezoning ordinances and, with no public comment for each, adopted ordinances 262690 (3236 Pinehurst Drive rezoning to R-1), 262691 (204 Shelterwood Circle to RLSF legacy single-family), and 262694 (3269 Monte D’Oro Drive to R-1). Each adoption was approved by roll-call vote with the council reporting seven ayes.
Council member Martin (staff explanation) noted that adopting the map immediately places the rezoning items in the correct order for processing and that staff will update map materials following the council’s votes.
The adoptions were routine in process and reflected no recorded public opposition during the hearings; the council took no amendments to the ordinances during the meeting.
